Vicky went up to King’s College, Cambridge on an Entrance Exhibition to read Classics before changing to Medical Sciences, graduating in 1988. She trained in London and has an extremely broad based medical background, culminating in her becoming one of the few practitioners to be awarded Fellowship or Membership of the three Royal Colleges-Physicians, Surgeons (Edinburgh) and General Practitioners.

Vicky has been a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal London Hospital since 2004.  In addition to seeing a wide range of patients with General Dermatological problems she has developed considerable expertise in recognising and managing dermatoses in patients with skin of colour and has experience in managing patients with difficult acne or who need systemic treatments.  She has a special clinical interest in Hair Disorders and has established a regional Hair Disorders clinic for secondary and tertiary referrals. She was awarded a British Association of Dermatologists /DC Travel Award in 2011 to study Hair Disorders in Melbourne with Professor Rodney Sinclair and is a founder Committee member and Educational Lead for the British Hair and Nail Group (BHANG).  Since 2012 she has been a member of Faculty of 1000 as an expert commentator for publications in Hair Research and chaired the Precongress Clinical Course for the 7th World Congress for Hair Research in 2013.
She is the UK representative for Pantene Hair Research Institute.
She has coauthored 'Fast Facts - Disorders of the Hair and Nails' with Professor Rodney Sinclair (HealthPress, 2013).

 An accomplished string player, she holds the ARCM Violin Performer’s Diploma and is married with 3 children.
